I have been several times to this hotel. Was convenient in the past . On our last visit, my wife and I, decided that it is no longer the Holiday inn we visited 5-6 years ago.. oldish , charging high prices for internet and garage, poor service, poor rooms . It is ok for one night but would not recommend it for longer stay. beside this, this place cannot be called a 4 star hotel ! 3 star is more appropriate.

We were charged 240 swiss francs for a very poor room, in hindsight we should have left. The hall carpets were badly stained, the bathtub grouting was black with mould almost all the way around, there was an extra 19 franc charge for internet access (or 39 francs for the "total package" of tv and internet). There wasn't an amenity in sight, just stained squeezy bottles of liquid soap.

The bedding was clean, the breakfast was very good with lots to choose from and the front desk staff person that helped us was excellent. However, those postiives were not enough to change our overall impression. Be warned, this is an overpriced, shabby hotel that the Holiday Inn should strip of their franchise, it does nothing but give the chain a bad name and terrible image.

Not worth for the price. The staff is not friendly. A lot of noise in the room. Far away from the city center (in Paradiso) but close to the highway exit. A lot of construction work in the area and also inside the hotel. Renovation is done in some rooms. I did not feel comfortable and would not book this hotel again.

I recently spent a week in Lugano, Switzerland at the Holiday Inn. The staff make me feel like a member of the family, went out of their way to be helpful in many ways. The room was clean and bright, comfortable bed, both pools delightful, one for exercise, the other for sunbathing.I would definitely return!
