After a long day on The Glacier Express from Zermatt to St. Moritz, we arrived at the rail station mid evening. All five of us were exhausted! Had already been travelling 10 days; the sights in Switzerland are so mind bogglingly beautiful, it's enough to fill one's mind with almost too much! So, a gentleman from the Hotel Nolda met us at the rail station, loaded a great deal of luggage and five adults into his vehicle, all the while being kind and considerate; not asking why(?) we had so much luggage! Upon arrival at the hotel, about a 5 minute ride from the station, we were met by a sweet lady (found out later, she had only been working there 2 weeks!), who was quite prepared for us. In a flash, we were warmly welcomed, given our room keys, and advised to thoroughly enjoy! We asked about someplace to dine; she told us about a lovely place just across the street and "catty corner" from the hotel. After a short rest in beautiful, quiet and peaceful rooms, we walked to dinner. Wonderful nights' sleep at Hotel Nolda, and a very nice breakfast in a bright, cheerful breakfast room the next morning. The same gentleman who had picked us up the night before, returned us to the rail station and we were off to Appenzell. I do wish we had taken a couple more nights in St. Moritz at Hotel Nolda! Next time!
