We stayed at Hotel Nolda for two nights in August 2015. We had a standard double room with the view of the mountains afar but without a balcony. The room was fully renovated last year with the incredible smell of pine wood. The bed was comfy and very big by Asian standard. The room is also of a good size, but the washroom is on the small side. There is a fridge / mini bar in the room (drink charges extra) with a bureau / long work space by the window. Free Wifi works fine, but you have to login every now and then.
There are a few points worth noting:
- Mountain pass was included that covers all cable cars, buses and some Rhaetian railway. That means you pretty much don't have to pay for transport within St Moritz. The hotel also provides pickup and dropoff service to and from St Moritz train station. The hotel is only a 10- to 15-minute walk away from the train station and we enjoyed the walk by the lake side when the weather is nice.
- 3-course dinner for CHF30: This is absolutely a steal in the expensive city. The food was great and very filling.
- Breakfast is great with a nice variety of cereals, fruits, cold cuts, proscuitto, bread, yoghurt and juices. Coffee, tea and eggs are made to order.

- On the down side, there are only 3 wall sockets in the bathroom and 1 near the entrance of the room (the hexagonal Swiss sockets only, so that you may need an adaptor if you have the round European ones). It would be great if there are more by the night stand or on the bureau.
- As with most other hotels in Europe, the room is not air conditioned, so that it might get a little hot when the sun is out in summer (we had rain and overcast days and the temperature was below 10 degrees Celsius. So it's not a problem for us.)
- The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. The manager (I forgot her name) was especially passionate and knows everything about the mountains and cable cars. She is a great source of information to travel around.
- Don't miss the Coop supermarket about 8 minutes away from the hotel. There are two floors and you can shop for your daily necessities, souvenirs and every clothes and backpacks there.
All in all, I'd highly recommend Hotel Nolda.More
