We booked a 3-nights package with the Tourist Office online and chose Hotel Steffani due to its location (downtown and close to the lift). It turned out to be a great choice as we were given one of the only 3 renovated rooms (at that time but hopefully they renovated more now) that was great. They entirely renovated the room, the bathroom and the windows. It was all light colored wood, with wooden floor and wall with zen-style bath and showers. The room had a lot of "hidden cupboards" for clothes. Everything was so new and pure luxury. Breakfast was great as well with home-made bread and a lot of fresh fruits. So do ask to be put in a renovated room, you will pay an extra, but it is so worth it !!!
The hotel itself has a small indoor swimming pool, a sauna and a PC free for guest to use. The building itself is very old and beautifully renovated. They also have a garage for skis, a free non-covered parking just in front of the hotel (only 6-8 places) and we can leave the ski shoes in front of the rooms in the corridors.
We skied in Corvatsch and Corviglia, but preferred Corvatsch as it was less crowded. Unfortunately we did not have time for Diavolezza, but were told afterward that the views were magnificent.

A group of us stayed at the Hotel Steffani for a weeks skiing on the recommendation of some friends.

I had a single room which unfortunately was at the back of the hotel, quite dark and small with only a shower. However, after asking for another room, I was moved to a room at the front of the hotel which was much bigger, had a large bathroom with bath (a must for a soak after a day on the slopes) and a small balcony which made it a much lighter room. The room and hotel were spotless. Fabulous indoor pool which I had to myself on more than one occasion.

The buffet breakfast was delicious, both hot and cold. The dinner menu had at least 3 choices of 3 courses. ALL the hotel staff were helpful and very pleasant especially Salvatore in the restaurant. Brigitte and Peter Marky who run the hotel are a delightful couple and very attentitive to their guests.

Would definitely stay again despite the short up hill walk to the ski lift which had an excellent funicular railway up to the slopes.

ski area is fabulous and the scenery is stunning.

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel Steffani in May 2006. While the hotel was nice it was a mistake to stay in St. Moritz in May as the town was COMPLETELY dead. We understood that it wasn’t high season and that shop hours may be scaled back…but everything in the town was completely closed by the time we got there at around 4pm. The hotel itself was very nice and from our 4th floor room the view of the lake was very nice. The pool areas was modern and clean but closed too early in the evening…I believe it closed at 8pm. The restaurant was so smoky that we had to leave so I can’t comment on the food.

Before coming to the hotel I was worried about what I would get for$134 a night in St Moritz,I was more than pleasantly suprised.The reception area and staff were inviting and friendly,with free parking and a porter.The room were clean,spacious and comfortable.Only went to the restuarant for breakfast and it was clean and well presented.We enjoyed our stay,although it was only for one night.
