I was with an AAA group tour and we were given great rooms. Ours was across from the church. It was a very large room with a balcony. There were 2 complete baths. One had normal size sinks and a tub and the other had a very small sink and a nice size shower. Everything was very modern. The breakfast buffet was excellent with wonderful breads and jams. There were a lot of different foods available. The dinners were good but cooking for a group is not easy. Davos sits a mile up with beautiful mountains around it. Great town.

I travel around Europe for work on a weekly basis and when reading the reviews, I was amused with the a number of narrow views therein.

I travel around Europe and a weekly basis in my work and stay byinlarge in 4star hotels. So I have stayed in lots of ordinary functional, business hotels and this is better that that.

This is a small family run - quality little hoteland (no i am not being paid for this) if you are looking for reasonable skiiing and a relaxing time I would recommend it and a base. The pool are was more than adequate and the sauna was just the ticket after a day on the slopes.

My friend and I spent a week in Davos skiiing and despite a single room we both found it comfortable and clean however, the pillows are just too thin - so ask for two or three.

The staff were critisised in a few of the rewiews but I have to say that they were attentive, polite and actually humerous - especially the old geezer/porter at 4.30 in the morning!

So if you are looking for loads of apri ski and 24x7 nightlife - both Davos and this hotel are not for you. If you want reasonable skiing conditions, frindly service, a nice buffet breakfast then I would give this hotel the best recomendation you can give it and that is - yes I would return.

Ideally its a couple/family hotel - clean and friendly - the bathrooms may be dated but they are spotless and classical. The Piono player is a babe and can sing!

The reception and restaurant - staff was very unfriendly.

The room was very small and very noisy.

The breakfast was very poor .

The temperature in the swimming-pool was too cold.

Being that it is rated as a 4 star hotel, I had certain expectations when arriving at this hotel, but was sorely disappointed thereafter. First of all, the hotel is like being stuck inside a small chimney!! The staff does not take any measures to separate the non-smoking guests from those who smoke. Not at the restaurants, the lobby, even the rooms, although they claim to have "non-smoking rooms" available for guests who request it. I requested one, but it was clear after the first few hours that they had put me in a smoking room, and I could still smell the smoke in the air from the previous guests. Being that the common areas are not ventilated, especially during winter, it truly was like being inside a chimney all the time...

Also, they charge you for EVERYTHING. The hotel doesn't give you any real curtesy amenities, for example, if you ask for an iron, they have one, but they'll charge you for it. A pair of socks, no matter how small, will cost you at least 4 CHF to have them washed in a washing machine, etc.

There are better and less expensive hotels in Davos, and I recommend looking into those first.
