This is a very pleasant hotel, modern, clean, friendly staff, internet access (pay per creditcard) in room, minisafe, excellent bath room, spacy rooms. Pleasant breakfast, good choice, very friendly staff, who even serve freshly squeezed orange juice at the table. Highlights: close to the conference centre (next door), close to swimming paradise/wellness (sauna) "Eau-la-la". Despite the funny name this is a excellent facility, with great fun for children and family, and a serious and 'zen' sauna landscape, including outdoor jacuzzi with view at the mountains. Only 2 minutes by foot from the hotel. Highlight in the hotel itself: massage (classical), very competent and very friendly staff, worth every Swiss Franc.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during a conference last week.

Location: Right in the middle of Promenade. Easy to get everywhere. Cabs are expensive so take bus no. 1, 2 , 3 or 7 from outside Davos Dorf. Bust stop is right outside the hotel.

Upon check-in, everyone is given a free guest card which entitles you to free travel on buses and upto 20% discount on lifts.

Staff: Good, polite

Rooms: Room no. 207. Very spacious and clean. Every room has a balcony with nice views of the mountains. Bathrooms are on the smaller side but clean. Turn down service in the evenings is a nice touch.

Breakfast: Good variety - cheese, breads, crossoints, cereal, cold meats, scrabled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, yogurt etc. You can have an omellete made right in front of you with your choice of fillings.

Dinner: Dinner was nice and the set menu is reasonably priced but hardly anyone seems to have dinner in the hotel

I would love to stay here again.

We decided rather late to take a week's skiing holiday immediately after Christmas, and the Kongress was the only hotel in Davos which could accommodate us (a family of 3). We expected the hotel to be lacking in atmosphere, thinking it to be aimed more at the conference market than holiday makers. It is a modern hotel, but has a lovely ambience mainly due to the quality of the staff, who are outstanding, from the Manager, who greeted us personally each evening, downwards. We have never felt so appreciated in hotel, and nothing was too much trouble. Our interconnecting rooms were clean, modern and very comfortable, and the food was very good - the breakfast buffet in particular was excellent. The position of the hotel in the town is ideal, next to bus stops (visitors receive free bus passes) and handy for both Davos Platz and Dorf. We will certainly stay there again.
