“We loved our stay and service was excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

During our trip we had a stay in this hotel where we had a really nice stay. The rooms were big, clean and well equiped. The beds were large and the view was superb.
The service also was excellent, so I highly recommend this hotel.
We didn't try the restaurant, so we don't know it (We went to the Jarno restaurant in Meierhof hotel and the tartare was fabulous"

“stay lived up to expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

We booked the hotel because we wanted a really comfortable hotel during our visit to Davos for the Swiss Alpine marathon. It is a tough event and we wanted a comfortable hotel near the event start and a spa. The hotel is very well located, only a 5 minute walk from Davos Dorf station, with a regular bus service along the main thoroughfare to Davos Platz just outside. The immediate area is really lovely.
We found a warm welcome and we received a room upgrade to a suite - room 234 - which was a huge bonus. The suite had a very generous lounge area with a small kitchenette, which we used a lot, a balcony and a decent sized bedroom. It made the stay really comfortable and private. We spent lots of time in our room to rest, which is exactly what we needed, both before and after the event. The kitchenette was equipped with a small electric stove, a fridge and sink, so we could cook snacks and light meals. The suite wasnt especially luxurious but it was roomy and very quiet, at the rear of the hotel, with only one adjacent room which can form the 2nd bedroom of a 2-bed secluded suite. The balcony overlooked a garage at the rear of the Parsenn cable car station, so don't expect a view of the mountains. This wasnt an issue for us.
The spa was comfortable, with lounge chairs, 2 saunas and a steam room, a small exercise room , jacuzzi baths and a sunbed.
We ate only breakfast in the dining room but it was really good, with a great selection of cold plates and hot food to order.
The staff were generally very friendly, courteous and helpful. We plan to stay there again on our next visit to Davos and we found it a much better stay than our stay last year for the same event at the Morosani hotel - see review also.

Room Tip: we happen to have a sheraton card which might have got us the upgrade

“Excellent location for skiing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2011

Hotel offers an excellent location directly next to Parsenn lift and half a block walk from bottom of ski run at end of day. In addition there is a bus stop right in front to take into center of Davos and to access skiing at Jakobshorn. Only downside to this location is that it is right on the main road and can be a little noisy in the evening.
The hotel itself has very acceptable accommodations as one would expect from Sheraton. Clean, comfortable rooms with all the necessary amenities. Although a little more storage would be good for the extra bulky ski clothing. The spa was very nice with sauna, steam, whirlpool and water therapy showers. Just know that this is Switzerland and everything there is coed.
Morning breakfast is buffet style and served in main dining room, looking out onto the main avenue and alps beyond. Plenty of options to choose from. Meals at night were excellent as well and in the traditional Swiss style and service.
When I return with my sons for ski vacation, I will definitely be staying here again.

Room Tip: When booking ask for room on top floor.

“Great Location for Skiing, friendly staff but dated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2011

I decided to take advantage of a last minute special offer rate at this property to go skiing in Davos with my partner. The hotel location next to the lifts is excellent and suited our purpose well. I booked a room in the historic wing of the property and on arrival was pleasantly surprised to find the room featured a nice little balcony. The front desk staff was friendly, as were the waitresses at the Paulaner’s Restaurant where we had dinner. The quality of the food at dinner and breakfast was good and the selection excellent, although we would have expected fresh (not frozen) meat to be served with our dinner choice of fondue Chinoise. The same goes for the fruit basket in our room which contained fruit of questionable freshness (not foul but stale at best) – a fruit basked is certainly nice, but if the quality of the fruit cannot match expectations I would rather not have one at all. As for the room furnishing, it seemed somewhat dated - I do not remember when I last stayed at a Starwood property which still featured cathode ray tube televisions instead of modern flat screens. The bedding was also below Starwood average with saggy pillows and a blanket that was so electro statically charged that it sparked on every turn throughout the night. In conclusion I would stay at this hotel again due to the location and friendly staff, but I would not be willing to pay the full price of a non discounted room unless the property were to undergo a significant refresh, along the lines of other Sheraton properties.

“Beautiful old school hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2011

Staying at Seehof makes you feel you are up the alpines, with wooden floors, low roofs, Swiss chalet looking resturants. The service is good, Food delectable swiss. It is located closer to davos dorf and a little away from the promenade.but Davos is small and you will enjoy the walk. It has a beautiful landscape outside the hotel with a big fountain which looks pretty in the evening.

Highly recomendable
