We stayed three nights during September and can't wait to return. We stayed in a room with a view of the Jungfrau and you really can't ask for a better view. They will pick you up and drop you off at the train station (though it's really not far from the hotel anyway...). We felt the staff was friendly and was helpful giving us advice on the area and even helped us find the train times to our next destination.
The room itself was very spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Although there wasn't a TV in the room, we didn't mind since we enjoyed listening to the music that was available. Made it more of a relaxing environment. If they had wifi available in the rooms, that would make things perfect. Breakfast was plentiful (selection of breads, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, jams etc.) and if you need to be up earlier than their normal starting time they were accomodating to that request (especially if you want to head up to the top early).
The dinner was definitely the highlight and we're not even big "food" people. Because we are not "food" people, we enjoyed not having to search out a restaurant everynight too. We were given a table for the three nights with the same unbelievable view that our room had. The four course meals were really a treat. Everynight each of the four courses were new and delicious. One of the nights, the main course was fish and they remembered I had mentioned a previous night that I was not a seafood eater. They were ready with another option that was just as good and was no trouble to have the replacement. The chef would come out and quickly visit towards the end of the meal too.
Wengen itself was a dream location. We were happy to be away from crowds of tourists (no tour buses here!). It really is a quaint as it looks in pictures. It is nice to be located a good way up to the top if you're planning to venture up there. The people in town were very friendly. The first full day we had rain, so we opted to follow the advice of the hotel and hike down to the falls which we thouroghly enjoyed. The other full day was beautiful, so we took the tram up and hiked over to Kleine Scheidegg to then take the train to the top. Perfect afternoon!
Three nights was not enough time, so we definitely plan to come back and we would love to stay here again when we do return.
