I stayed with my relatives for two nights in March 2009 the Jungfraublick Hotel in Wengen. The Hotel is managed by a family and they are all very friendly and helpful, especially the son who is the receptionist. The hotel had fantastic Easter decoration. The hotel is located at the end of the “main street” of Wengen and has a nice overview over the village and the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Room are ok, we had two rooms on the second floor facing south meaning a fantastic view over the Alps. Bathroom was a little bit small and needed to be refurbished but was very clean (as the rest of the hotel). Breakfast is ok but you should not expect English or American breakfast (is quite more like a traditional Swiss Breakfast). We had two dinners at the restaurant as we booked half board: food was fine and the hotel was also very helpful to prepare vegetarians meals for one of us. Overall a nice experience and the value was also very fine. Sure again in Jungfraublick in Wengen!

We spent just one night at this property, this time in Wengen to go sledding. Be aware that at this time of the year, parking is at a premium and not only was the garage full in Lauterbrunnen, but so were the first 2 overflow lots. But with touristic efficiency, there is a frequent free shuttle bus to take you from your car to the train station and from there on to car-free Wengen. The hotel would have provided free pickup at the train station had we told them of our arrival time. I really enjoyed the friendliness and humor of the two younger fellows who often worked the desk. When one found out we were interested in sledding he offered two sleds that the hotel loans to guests! Our room faced south to the mountain views and was of average size, with a nice balcony. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean as is typical in Switzerland. Furnishings were in excellent condition. The included beakfast buffet included the usual selection and a provision for self cooking boiled eggs. We used the free drop-off service on departure which was appreciated from this hotel which is up the hill a bit and farther away than most. All in all, a pleasant vist.
