Occasionally you find a gem and this is one of them. Our room, at the back of the Hotel Loschberg in a separate building, on the first floor so we oculd leave the windows and shutters open. A school opposite but they are gone by about 4,00 pm. Interlaken West Station and supermarket about 3 mins walk, even so the hotel is in a very quiet location. There was a frig, microwave, electric jug and a 2 burner ceramic hotplate and pots and pans, cutlery etc. towels, etc. all provided. It was exceptionally quiet, free washing machine also and you could hang your clothes out to dry in the sun. Internet (fee) and also a proper telephone (fee) for guests. All in all, absolutely superb.

Susie's B&B was in a great location to sight see the mountains, Jungfraujoch and Schilthorn. It was also within walking distance to town. Accommodations were ok, however the room didn't have a fan. I complained to Fritz and said we needed a fan. I had requested one in our initial correspondence. He never said we wouldn't have a fan. So he went out and bought a fan for us. We slept well.

Also during the day, there are kids playing just outside our window making lots of noise. At night they were quiet.

All in all we were satisfied because Fritz bought us a fan, which we would have been miserable without. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room.

We had stayed at Susi' for 3 nights and would say we had a very good experience. We missed our train and reached the place at 11PM, we were bit worried how we would check in as office is open till 7PM. To our surprise there was a note on the gate of the hotel stating the location of room keys, we were certainly impressed.

Rooms were clean and had all amenities, staff was very helpful in giving their suggestion about were to visit and which areas to explore. I would strongly recommend this place which is very near to train station.

After much worry and late notice, we were happily able to secure a private room with a kitchen and ensuite (shared sunroom) for 3 nights in this wonderful private guestroom (separate building from the Loetschberg hotel). For those wanting more upscale amenities, try the hotel. Check-in is at the hotel reception for both). A pleasant walk from the train station (ensure which way you are arriving from West station or East station) as we wound up at the wrong one and walked 20 minutes. Furniture and offerings were basic, kitchen is well stocked with all nec. pans, etc., all in very good condition, bathroom: spotless, towels, great hot water/pressure after cold days and long walks.
Definitely would recommend to others.
