This is opur favorite place to stay when visiting Interlaken. Over the course of two visits we've enjoyed the hotel's fantastic location, friendly staff, easy parking (private lot), and large rooms. Breakfast is always good too. Perhaps the only downside is that the hotel has perhaps the creakiest wood floors you'll ever encounter, but that is seldom a problem and we've never been bothered by noise outside the room. The hotel isn't cheap, but that is the reality for nearly all hotels in Interlaken (and Switzerland in general), and this one is worth the money.

During our last stay our daughter accidentally left a stuffed animal in the room and the person who took my call the next day immediately located it and promptly mailed it back to us without charge - a very generous and kind gesture that sets this hotel apart from many others. Well worth a visit.

Since I was in Switzerland for work and had the weekend - and it was November - not prime tourism time in Switzerland - I was very torn as to where to go for the weekend. After much research and truly wanting to see the beauty of the Berner Oberland but being afraid of too many places closing - I went for Interlaken. Despite people saying it's too touristy I found it to be charming - especially the West side where Bellevue is located.

I chose Bellevue naturally because of the TA rating but also the reasonable rate - and what can I say - it was the perfect weekend! The hotel is lovely, old and charming but save the creaking floors which added to the ambience IMHO, everything was in splendid working order.

The staff couldn't have been more accommodating - helping us plan our excursions wisely, making us feel welcome and suggesting places to eat. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful!

We truly loved Interlaken and it's surroundings - don't miss Jungfraujuch!!! And if it's running - DO take the boat from Interlaken to Thun - a suggestion of Jurg - the manager of the hotel - it was one of the loveliest journeys I've ever made!!!

Make sure to walk around the residential area of Interlaken to admire the homes and gardens!!

I read many reviews prior to my trip. Most hotels seemed quite expensive. Although there were some downsides of the reviews, the Bellevue seemed like the best Compromise.
I got a lovely single room overlooking the sparkling river with a big warm comforter and a large bathroom with tub. What more should you need??? Yes the floors are a little creaky & noisy but one should always take a noise diffuser. A little white noise takes care of all that!
on a little side St close to everything. I felt totally safe at all hours of day or night
Hotel staff extremely accommodating & Informative. Most helpful in loaning two converting electric plugs.(beware Swiss electric plugs Look European but aren't!!!)
Walking distance to both train stations. East 5 min W is about 12 min. But transportation is free after checking into hotel anyway.
If you want fancy, there are other hotels, but they cost quite a bit more. This is the one I would chose again.

Walking distance from Interlaken West train station. Also, there's a Coop supermarket just accross the street. Great breakfast. Room was very spacious yet cosy. Excellent bed!
