Good points: Central location, friendly staff.
Bad points: Cheap feeling family room on the 3rd floor for non-smoking double occupancy - old, mismatched furniture, only one cheap bedside lamp, had to hire a kettle from reception for 25 francs extra. Tiny shower room with 70's tiles (not retro-cool in this case). Musty smell, terrible inside the wardrobe. Cheap laminate flooring coming apart. Reality different to the photo of the triple room on the website - no nice plant, no nice bedside lights. After 3 nights ended up covered in little bites, can't say for sure where they came from but having had long sleeves and trousers on all the time outside (end of September visit) can only think that they came from the bed. Dinner only if you pre-book, no menus given, only served for one hour in the evening. Noisy as the lift shaft is in the middle of each floor so you can hear everyones comings and goings. Could hear talking and TV from adjacent rooms late at night. Guy wearing boxers and flip flops to breakfast!
Ok points: Breakfast was decent, bit strange to have to fry your own egg in a 3 star hotel. Pretty clean (apart from the mystery bites).
Overall: I really thought that this hotel felt more like a hostel. Which is completely fine if you booked a hostel and are paying hostel prices. Staff were friendly and helpful and if we were paying 100 francs a night I would have given it 3 or 4 stars. But for 270 francs it just felt like a rip off. Disappointing, I wouldn't stay again.
