Very nice location with spectacular view. No noise at all from surroundings. A little outside the center, but the hotel bus will bring you and pick you up on request immediately. Very friendly and competent reception. Some rooms are very beautiful, some rather simple and a little obsolete, especially the bedding. Very clean room.
Restaurant quality and pricing are at Swiss level: it means not low cost, but also not exaggerated or rip off. Food of good quality. Service could be more Swiss style.
All together: For Grindelwald a good recommendation.

Great hotel in a stunning location, if you like views of snow covered mountains, alpine houses & the sounds of birds, cow bells and water flowing down the mountains. We had a superior room that was exceptionally clean & comfortable with a great balcony that had recliners and a table with chairs that we used when it was sunny. Every one who worked in the hotel was friendly and helpful, as well as able to converse in several languages. The food was very good and lots of it, including cake at 4pm each day! The Breakfast Buffet was excellent. We had half-board. The walk from the hotel to the town is steep and might not suit less able people. The hotel will collect & drop you off at the train station. Not a cheap option but you get what you pay for.

The views ot the rooms are excellent and also the location. But they can´t resolve the only problem that I had, some guests were shouting late at nigh and I called the reception and someone that was at her home couldn´t do something. Please think about it if you are planning to rest in this "quiet" place.

From the friendly pick u at the train station p to the warm reception at the desk and the magic of a room with a view, this hotel delivers on Swiss efficiency and politeness while providing a delicious menu. A little further out of town but they will help you with that too.
