We booked our stay in Grindlewald independently and located Bodmi Hotel via their web page. We were not dissapointed on arrival.
The hotel is lovely and wonderfully located on the hillside of Grindlewald. Its well worth the money booking a room with a view of the Eiger as it is stunning. Our double room was large, had plenty of storage and was very clean and comfortable.
The hotel has some space around it from other buildings which is nice and the hotel goats (which graze in the hotel meadow) give it a homely feel. There is also a nice little tree house for those with kids.
The owners, Kurt and Elisabeth, really make you feel welcome. They can't do enough to help you and this is also reflected in their helpful and friendly staff. You get the sense they are a team.
Breakfast is great and plentiful. Although we had dinner in various resturants in the town we ate dinner at the hotel twice and enjoyed it, they do a mean steak.
The new Wellness Suite in an adjacent barn is lovely and squeaky clean. This includes a sauna, steam room and some great showers (with a goat twist - you'll see!).
One thing to bear in mind is its a 10 minute steep walk down to the town which can be grueling on the way back up if you've had a hard days walking already and a big dinner; you may want drive down and park.
It's a great base for the area and I would definately stay at Bodmi again. We were glad we had done our homework and feel we picked the best hotel in Grindlewald.
