Rooms a good size
A view fit for a postcard
Restaurant staff excellent.
that's where it ended.
Night One.
Booked and paid 6 months prior. Did not have our booking on arrival. Managed to work it out ( and get a room) as we had kept our reservation confirmation.
That night. No heating. Reception advised, a fault with entire floor. Will do there best. A nice night spent with minus celcius temperatures in our room.
Night Two
No hairdryer in bathroom. Ring reception, 'we don't keep them in our rooms as they get stolen'. Needed to go to reception, leave a 10 Swiss Franc deposit.
Night Three
8pm - no hot water. Go to reception, and advised 'sorry'. Called for Manager. General Manager Tommy comes to desk and advises that due to all the families that had been skying that day and having showers at 5pm (3 hours previous) that the water had run out and we should wait 45 minutes for the boilers to heat up.
End up slamming door on Gen Man as he shrugs his shoulders when I ask him the question ' I am paying $300 Francs a night for this room and you are asking me to wait 45 minutes for a shower'.
Get a phone call 5 minutes later to advise we could go down 2 lflights of stairs to the sauna to have a shower in the communal shower.
Get back to our hotel room that night and a fruit platter is on our table with a card from Tommy with 'sorry' written on it.
Make your own decision about this hotel. The rooms are good, the views excellent, the restaurant staff are great. If you dont care about the other stuff, go for it. Won't see me back there.
