When planning my next winter vacation- I remembered our very good experiance in a well managed hotel. A very friendly and helpfull staff.
The Room was large, The Loby- cosy with Wi-Fi.
The breakfasts excellent ( made us relluctant to leav for skiing..)Dinners-good in a nice atmosfere.
Overall- very recommended !

Location: 10min walk up an easy hill from town. No problem, parking was available.
Room: Standard room was pricey and modestly-furnished (especially for a 3star hotel!), however great view and everything worked well (including heating and hot water).
Restaurant: We only had breakfast, which was fine, nothing special.
Service: Outstanding - Stacey at the front desk was happy to help with everything, from organising ski passes and ski hire, to booking us a nice restaurant, giving directions, internet access and offering the sauna shower so we could clean up on our way out after skiing on the last day (well after check-out). Thanks to her for making our stay really great!

Hotel Eigerblick is in an ideal location, Im not a very young person in fact 62! ny second visit to this area, and I have no problem with the approach but other less able people might. Hotel is about 15minutes good walk from village - easily done by anyone, and *even with snow covered roads. The hotel will collect you from the station and take you back when you leave. They also give you a travel pass for the local bus, which whizzes you down to the village about every 30 mins (and its free) thats quite something in Switzerland. Beware of the cost of buses and cable cars, think nothing of paying £10.00 for a 40 min bus ride to Bussalp - worth every penny. Hotel gave us lovely Gluwein on Christmas Day and the staff are professional and waiters wonderful. The only - and this is me being picky is that in the whole of Switzerland smoking is allowed anywhere and the hotel lobby does smell of stale smoke - which I hate - other than that - perfect. Beds great big and fluffy, rooms warm in the -6 temperature and loads of boiling hot water whenever you want it....... I shall return.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Eigerblick this October for a part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The accomodations were very clean and the bathroom was nice including a powerful shower.

We found the hotel through the interval timeshare agency and came based on some positive reviews. Upon first glance, the room was very plain with white cupboards, white bed and little character. Nonetheless, it had a spectacular view of the eiger mountain and turned out to be a really comfortable home base. (It was about a 10 minute walk into downtown Grindelwald - up hill heading toward the hotel.) Our room had a kitchenette and we ended up using it for 2 dinners. The bed was quite comfortable with very nice duvets.

The front desk staff were helpful and friendly and had we known we could have requested a ride to the hotel upon arrival, you can just call ahead. (It's not a long walk, but with luggage it could be helpful.) One recommendation, don't bother with the breakfast buffet, it's not cheap and there's a nicer breakfast place in town called the Tea Room.
