Simple, very clean and tidy Hotel. Very happy with week long stay. Very few facilities but a large room and very spacious bathroom with adequate shower. Lift but some stairs cannot be avoided. Friendly staff who go the extra mile. I recommend it.

Located on the Promenade, the central car free main street of Gstaad, just 75 metres from the railway station, adjacent to which is the postbus and skibusstation.
Gstaad is ridiculously expensive (particularly with the £/Swiss Franc rate at CHF1.60/£1), but the Sporthotel Victoria was pleasantly affordable, both for food, which was ok without being great, and beer and open wine. Locals as well as visitors in the café/conservatory; pleasant restaurant to the rear. Friendly patron and staff.
If you are looking for a comfortable 3-star base, with no pretentions to being more than this - good little sauna, steamroom and fitness centre, though - then this should suit.

Hotel located in pedestrian area (although via the back reachable by car, nr of own parking places), just 75 meters from little train station where also the local buses depart. Supermarket: 100 meters.

Easy going little hotel, good breakfast buffet (when we were there very good fresh fruit also). Their restaurant is always filled; with locals (who come from 8 pm) and outsiders. Good food with amicable prices.

Something different: have dinner at hotel Cristiania!!! Surprising menue but very good. Staff ever so nice! And.....if you want to surprise (or impress) your boy/girlfriend, husband or wife: order fro her/him a "crepe suzette" for dessert. (I cannot reveal "the trick", you have to trust me).

Right in the centre of town - opposite the railway station. Very peaceful though. By Gstaad standards, reasonable value (prices are high in the whole resort). Restaurant was good with pizzas and basic main courses at affordable prices. Probably best value beer in town. A good choice if you are looking for a comfortable base without being luxurious. Breakfast was a bit sparse - not much choice but good quality and fresh. Not recommended for disabled or very elderly visitors though. Our room was on 4th floor but lift only goes to 3rd. Lift is very small - says it takes 4 but I guess thats based on the supermodels that come to ski!!!!
