We are from New Zealand and stayed one night at Sporthotel Victoria in Gstaad, on Friday 9th December.
We were very well looked after by the friendly staff, and our room was perfect for the two of us, for one night. The room was quite small, but we were warned on check-in that the only 'double' room they had available was quite a small (we did not prebook, just received infio from the Gstaad Information Centre on arrival about which hotels were available), it had a balcony and looked down onto the pedestrian street below.
It's probably a 3 star hotel, but is very clean, nicely furnished, and the bed was very comfortable.
There is a lovely 'wellness' area at the basement of the hotel where we had a sauna, and is possible to have a work out in the small gym, have sunbed, massage etc. It's not open reguarly, but you just need to request with the front desk to use the facility and they will arrange for you.
The European continental breakfast was delicious, and there was a lot to choose from (contrary to another comment I have read on this site).
Gstaad is a very small town, and this hotel is located in the centre, not too close to a main road so is very quiet.
We stayed at the hotel approx 1 week prior to the busy ski season starting, so we did not see the town in full swing, though it was bitterly cold outside! Most beautiful location.
I would definitely stay here again, and recommend to other 3-4 star travellers.
Thanks for having us!
