The hotel is well located for walking the picture perfect village of Gstaad, and with a very convenient hotel on-demand chauffered car to any other nearby destination ( skilifts, train station, etc ).
Although it is in a turn of the last century building, it has been remodelled 8 years ago in a completly modern style for public areas and rooms. Everything of superb quality and top notch technology. For my taste, this urban modern decor is not as cozy as the Swiss chalet style which is so typical of this area, but no doubt its 5 star quality.
The Spa is superb, above average. Indoor only swimming pool but fantastic.
Rooms are large and bathrooms ultramodern and pretty.
Very good breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant is OK, but beeing in such a small village we found dining out a more interesting experience and sometimes better fare for same prices.
Of the three 5* hotels in Gstaad : Palace, Bellevue and Park, the first one is by far the top.
If you are only interested in skiing during winter season, go to Zermatt where higher mountains guarantee always snow and a better connection between slopes. For summer mountain walking and relax Gstaad is better.
