The hotel is tucked into a busy corner of the city protruding out onto the lake. It is ultra modern, but after ten years, it is showing signs of age. For instance the wooden walkway out to the suites needs replacing. The rooms are built on stilts like some place in Asia. You can even climb down a ladder and swim in the lake. All the rooms are extravagantly furnished with five star trimmings and the rest, such as the swiss Nespresso coffee machine and the Bose surround sound home cinema and of course a computer. The bathroom is opulent luxury, with wooden floorboards, a shower and a jacuzzi bathtub. They are like a mixture between a honeymoon suite on some tropical island and a high tech business hotel in a capital city.
I could not help feeling it was all a bit pretentious. I am not complaining though; the place was an absolute treat. The adjoining restaurant was excellent and comes highly recommended. Gourmet and good. Treat yourself!
