The Hotel Alpina in Luzern is less than a five minute walk to the train station and is part of the Hotel Metropol complex. The location is great, the breakfast is outstanding and Starbucks in located within the complex. This is a very busy area so don't think there is nothing but peace and quiet. There are dozens of restaurants within 5 -10 minutes from the hotel and the river and tourist area are virtually across the street. Our room was clean with a tiny television and a typical small toilet and shower. The desk service was very good and quick to respond to a concern we had regarding that micro television.

The check-in for this place is in the Hotel Metropol. Great location, quiet and near the train station. The rooms are very spacious and clean. A great breakfast buffet at the Hotel Metropol.

The hotel is standard and could be convenient, taking into account the Luzern Hotels' prices, besides it has a great location
But it is very noisy, the street is pleanty of bars, and the windows has no isolation.

We arived in Luzern at 8 pm without prior plan. The tourist info was closed so the only way to find a place was the Internet. Thanks to Starbucks free internet, we found out about the Alpina hotel. Soon we noticed that it's just opposite the corner. With a warm welcome from the reception, we were directed to our room. Surprised to see that the room was far better than the one we had in Geneva and also a bit cheaper! We enjoyed every moment staying there and the next morning we were fascinated by the buffet breakfast at Hotel Monopol. I highly recommend this hotel
