this hotel was very well managed and thier rooms are spacious, had a great stay here.
the staffs were friendly and it is only 1 minutes walk away from the train station.

We spent 8 weeks travelling in Europe, and stayed at some excellent hotels (and, naturally, encountering one or two disappointments) along the way. But the Waldstaetterhof in beautiful Lucerne was the absolute stand-out pick of the bunch in every respect. We stayed there from 24-26 December 2011 - our first family Christmas away from home, which we were facing with some misgivings. We needn't have worried. The rooms (a double plus a twin) were clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Location was a real winner: right across the road from the railway station, barely 5 minutes stroll from Lucerne's old town centre. Breakfast was also the best we encountered anywhere. But front desk service went way beyond courtesy and efficency. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, even extending to finding us a restaurant to celebrate a Christmas Eve family dinner: we were looking for somewhere a bit special, but where we could wear our travelling clothes, within our budget, and within walking distance! After discussing some options with the young lady at reception, she encouraged us to leave it with her and take a stroll through the town, while she took care of restaurant selection and bookings. This she did to perfection, booking us in for a lovely evening at the Rebstock (see review). We had a lovely Christmas, and came away from Lucerne with only fond memories, due in large part to the care and efficiency of our hosts at the Waldstaetterhof.

Hotel has very good location, very near to the train station.

Good standard Swiss service at check-in / front desk. The hotel is located right opposite to the railway station, extremely convenient for those who don't rent a car. Fast-food chain stores and supermarket are all within 1 or 2 mins access.

I will not post any pictures here as the pics shared here give a fair portrait of what the room / dining room and the outlook of the hotel - bright, modern, simply stylist deco. Bathroom is not the most up-to-date one but acceptable. Breakfast was good with fair amount of selection including hot items.

The only thing to complain is really about the noise, not sure if it's becoz the hotel is conveniently located, I have already asked for a room facing off the main road after ready the previous reviews, and I got it. But at the weekend two night I stayed there, I was being woke up twice in a nite - first at around 3am-ish I guess when the bars are closing, and 2nd time was at 7am-ish when people start going to work. I can understand what some older tourists can't bear with the noise, as I can hear them from the street yelling at 4th floor.
