Friendly and efficient check-in. Short walk from the train station, even in the snow. Super location. Room was spacious with a view.

Variety of breakfast. room was ok. the coffee machine was a bit unclean. nice receptionist , very helpful. 10 minutes walk to chapel bridge and train station. the hotel is situated at the central of the city.

the downside of it , how i wish it be more cheaper, if its cheaper i would love to say i would come n stay again but i heard many said switzerland is the most expensive city in europe. so here we are then.

If you are traveling by Eurorail, the hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from Lucerne Railway station. Lookout for the Chapel bridge and cross the bridge. You will find few lakeside cafe & restaurants walk along the river shale and take the first right turn which will lead to a fountain. The hotel is right above the fountain. We paid 277 Swiss Franc per night which included breakfast for 2 adults and one child. The room over looking the fountain square. Seems to be nice.There is a great souvenir shop near by, if you walk past the fountain towards the main road, it is on your left side. If you are arriving by early morning train you can keep your luggage at Hotel and proceed to Alpnachstad (Take the train to Sarnen as far as Alpnachstad, platform 12 or 13)

I checked into this hotel just a few days ago. Although I was WAY early for check in, the owner/manager, checked me into his Honeymoon Suite. The place was HUGE and looked like a palace (Nope, didn't pay a dime more). I had a balcony, overlooking the river/lake and the famous Chapel Bridge. A great way to end my day, smoking a cigar, watching the lights glimmer off of the water.

House cleaning came everyday and breakfast was included. The breakfast was a tad lacking, although it was adequate enough.

There were many, many, many restaurants and shop nearby, including a Coop. The train station was also less then a third of a mile away.

For MY experience, this hotel is top notch and yes, I would recommend it to others.
