Stayed here for 3 nights with family during the month of May. The location is probably the best you can get in this beautiful little town on the base of Mt Titlis. It is walkable from the Engelberg railway station where we arrived from Lucerne.

Room was a suite with a separate living room and lots of space and a lovely balcony with a view to the mesmerizing Alps. Standing in the balcony with a cup of hot coffee was a great experience with the absolute silent neighborhood. Roads in and around were mostly empty and hardly there were any vehicles or people seen.

Outside the hotel, on the opposite side of Dorfstrasse is a small children's park with a play area. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it even though it was pretty cold weather. The cable car starting point for going up to Mt Titls was not very far away and that was an amazing experience.

Would love to visit this place again and hope to stay in the same hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Ramada while on a hiking trip in Switzerland. The hotel is located right in the center of town and is easy walking distance to restaurants and to the lifts which take you up into the mountains.

This hotel is admittedly a bit of an eyesore from the outside (imagine a concrete slab in the middle of a cute little alpine village) but the inside is actually quite nice. Our room was modern and clean with a large balcony and spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. We appreciated the parking garage located in the basement of the hotel. Breakfast was included in the room price and was a notch above the standard continental fare found in so many hotels, with strong coffee and a tasty assortment of local cheeses.

Stayed here for 3 nights, not the most exciting hotel but decent enough for the town.

Bit run down and old building + rooms - good to explore the area.

The Ramada is just steps away from the train station in Engelberg and located on the main street in this charming ski village. The rooms were large and had plenty of storage. My room had a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the town and with a spectacular view of the mountains. I usually like to get a lower floor room, but go for the top in this hotel to get the best views! It has two elevators that are very fast, so you won't have to wait for long to get down.

The hotel has an exercise room with a pool and hot-tub. The hot tub costs CHF 5.00 but the other facilities are included. If you want a larger pool, the public pool is an easy walk of less than 1000 meters.

The restaurant serves a wonderful buffet at breakfast and lunch. I didn't stay here for dinner. There are dozens of very good restaurants within a short walk. Don't miss the monistary. It is a beautiful building.

I am not a skier, but there is lots to do here even for the non skier.
