We stayed at the Ramada for 4 nights and found it to be clean, quiet and comfortable. The views from the front of the hotel were ok, although the hotel is in an industrial area. However the views from the back are just of railway tracks so you may wish to bear this in mind when booking. The hotel is right next door to Le Praille which is a shopping centre. The hotel is about 10 minutes travel out of Geneva but once you get the hang of it, no problem. At the airport get your free travel pass which lasts for 80 mins, then go to the main Cornavin station. Out of the station take the 16 tram towards Mouillseraz for 2 stops - Stand - and then find the D bus which stops right outside the hotel. Get off at the Stadium. Each bus stop has the name of it printed on the top.
The hotel gives you a free travel pass for the duration of your stay and we certainly made the most of it. Took the number 16 to Avanchet and then the number 56 to CERN which was free, interesting, good for kids and adults alike. Also while you are there, take the opportunity to go over the border to France and go up on the cable car to Mt Selev, take the number 8 bus from the main station towards Veyrier Douanne. Excellent views of the whole of the lake.
We also took the train from the main station to Montreaux and to Lausanne, although it was worth the visit, the train tickets are quite expensive. There is not much open in Geneva on a Sunday so worth bearing that in mind when planning your days, also different museums have different days off in the week so best to check before going.

Overall I would definately stay there again.

Stayed here over the weekend. We heard about it because of an offer through our miles program and got a 2-night stay. The hotel is outside of the city center, but is quite easy to get to with the tram and a short walk/bus ride. Plus they give a card that is valid the whole stay for free tram and bus rides which is great. Although the area is somewhat remote (next to the stadium and shopping center), it felt quite safe and it is just a 10-min walk to Carouge, a very nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bars. The rooms are modern, pretty big, and very clean. The bed was comfortable and they have flat screen TVs in the room.
The only thing I did not like was the sink, the faucet is placed not far from the edge of the sink and I kept getting everything wet, but since it is a hotel and I don't have to clean it everyday, it was not really a big deal.

Back to the reveiw, this hotels is OK its right next to the football stadium and a shopping centre, which is good for picking up snacks, drinks ect, its 10-15 minutes on a bus to central geneva and excellent value compared with other hotels in geneva, which are just unbeleivably expensive. I would rate it as a 2 star, the rooms are clean, and of an acceptable standard, although a little small, even for a standard business hotel. Thats it on the hotel, good place to stay if you are on a budget and they also give you a free travel pass for buses and trams for the duration of your stay, which is very useful. Now, why are you going to Geneva, if its a leisure trip, are you mad... can I suggest the first thing you do on arriving at the airport, is jump on a bus to the train station and go to Montreaux only one hour away on the train, at the other end of lake geneva for your break, its a brilliant place, which geneva is not..... very boring... with little of any intrest to see or do..... Do yourself a favour look at Montreaux Hotels, I wish someone had told me.......

My wife and I had to stay overnight in Geneva and this was the only available hotel at the time. It is not far from the centre of Geneva, but it seemed a fair way in a taxi from the station (Sw Fr 27) especially when we found ourselves in a rather desolate spot next to the football stadium and a (nice looking) shopping mall. Around the hotel is an industrial/commercial area so do not expect nice views. Despite the surroundings there were some good things to say about the hotel. It was a modern, spotless room with an attractive shower room. The staff were welcoming and made the stay easy. The free bus pass meant that we were easily back into the centre after a 20 minute wait at the bus stop. The breakfast looked expensive and so we walked next door to the shopping mall and had a very nice coffee and croissants at half the price. All in all perfectly satisfactory for what we wanted in the circumstances.
