The Hotel Savoy sits opposite the main Cornavin train station, so is very handy for work travellers. My room was a single, but contained a very comfortable, double bed, desk, TV and ample storage space, so that was a bonus. The bathroom, however, was possibly the smallest I've ever seen; including wetrooms aboard dive boats! To use the loo required one to insert one's legs underneath the sink - not ideal. Taking a shower required being very careful with one's elbows, but the water pressure was good and it was all pretty adequate.

Breakfast is provided by the Britannia pub next door, by use of a voucher system, and was also pretty passable.

Not the world's more glamorous spot, but perfect for a traveller on a budget, a decent night's sleep, and very central. I would stay here again.

Arrived Geneva, got the free 80 mins. ticket from airport, took the train to Geneva main station (Gare Cornavin). Hotel was across the street. Lobby is quite small, rooms are old fashioned yet very clean , isolation was good , Room size is a standard European one. My room was on the other side from the station, so there was no noise at all.
Breakfast is @ brittania pub which is serving breakfast to guests from nearby hotels. Breakfast was very very good with lot of hot & cold options. If you want to book room without breakfast, it will cost you 20 Francs / Person for immediate payment. Otherwise you can get sandwiches from shops inside Cornavin station for almost 10 francs a sandwich!.
Reception gave us -for free- Geneva transport card which is valid in all public transport (even ferries) in greater geneva
Free Wifi , & PC with printer in lobby was useful to print train tickets.
Location was superb - 2 mins from the station & 10 mins from the Lake. I paid almost 90 Euros/night which you can NEVER find for a hotel in the center of Geneva and yes you are in the center!

Hotel is just opposite the main train station - 7 minutes by train to the airport.
Supplied us with a free day pass for the Geneva public transport system.

Rooms are small and not very well designed with very little power outlets and a the toilet being located in an odd position angled between the sink and the shower making sitting an exercise in yoga.

Other than that check in and out was quick, breakfast fine just outside the hotel in a nearby pub.

In Geneva the prices are outreageos, all things considered will probably stay here again if the price was right and I need just one night.

This hotel is a great value for money. One of the most popular thing is its location. Very close to Cornavin station- so convinient to move around swiss trains.
Also as it's in heart of city so we can walk around to have a look at tourist attrations in Geneva.
