Not always easy to find hotel room in Geneva, at some period good hotels are fully booked or extremely expensive. Hotel Les Nations could be a good compromise, it is not too far from center and you normally find rooms available there. Please note prices for room do vary a lot depending on the occipancy of the hotel. It might be rather expensive. The main problem for us was the small size of the room and the small size of the double bed. Hotel would need renovation and new carpets, but otherwise ok if you stay just one night.

A 4 star ground floor with 2 star rooms. Stinking hot with no air conditioner and no openable windows. Ordinary rooms from the 1960s. Very expensive rooms and expensive charges for computer use - should be free for guests. Good points - nice bathroom, and good breakfast area. On a bus line to the city via the railway station.

This is a terrible hotel. It is very far from the Lake. You have to get public transportation to get around. It does not have air conditioning and the rooms are tiny. In the evening you have no where to eat dinner. The hotel does not have a restaurant. Horrifiying!!!!! Americans! Beware!!!!!

I stayed at the Hotel les Nations for five days while working with others at the World Health organization. The room was large, the bed was king size (unusual in Europe still) the breakfast was everything that one could ask for, and fit my needs perfectly. There is a tram stop 50 meters from the hotel that takes one directly to WHO headquarters, and other buses to downtown, etc. Since the Geneva Hotels provide an eight-day bus pass on check-in, getting around was no problem. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the rooms and bathroom were spotlessly cleac.
