After a long week in Geneva, after my meetings were over, I moved to this hotel which is in the center, nearby the train station, etc. Let me put it in this way: You will not find staff in Geneva hotels to be particularly welcoming. Sometimes you wonder if this is just racism or perhaps lack of self confidence in staff ability to speak other languages than French. But anyway, staying in Geneva, you will find that attitude and it will be a significant part of your stay, and you should do your outmost to ignore it. But at the Rotary Hotel, which is a small hotel, you will find that their strongest asset is the attitude of their staff: polite, welcoming, smiling, professional, hospitable. The assigned room was a smokers room, and I was assigned a non-smokers room immediately upon my request. The room, perfect, standard, extremely clean and a fantastic bed. You don't want to move out of it. The breakfast is expensive and extremely "petit dejeuner" (small breakfast). Nearby you will find simple and good restaurants, as also some expensive and probably good (I was at the end of my stay and my wallet was going thin) along the lake nearby. You can have a long walk for an hour or so at each side of the lake. Enjoy the Rotary Hotel, I will definitely be coming back.

I stayed here for 2 nights by myself, since i had a few days before i had to be at a conference just over the French border. The service staff was superb! The rooms are lovely, with beautiful furniture, comfortable beds, decent sized rooms, and the bathroom is luxurious. The breakfast is very much worth the cost! And the display is very lovely. The location itself is so easy to get to from the main train station, although when i first arrived, i had some trouble. If only i'd known to just go out the main doors, go straight till you pass the Post Office building on your left, then turn onto the street to the right and then you'll find the hotel on your left. Very convenient location, because it's so close (literally right around the corner) to the lake (and a Starbucks, too!), yet it's very quiet like a residential neighborhood. Highly recommend it!

Charming is the only way to sum up the Rotary Hotel

It has an old world feel that makes it unique for your modern day hotel and what is so good is the staff blend in with the whole feel of the hotel, I have to mention Richard at reception (from arrival he mastered our stay)

We stayed room only, for breakfast we ate in the little cafe behind the hotel (go out the back door and its directly opposite)

The rooms are large and well equipped - and the furniture really adds to the experince

The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the train station (all trains from the airport stop in the city about 8 min journey) --- and its free just pick up a ticket in the baggage reclaim and/or your hotel

If you go out the back door of the hotel your just 3 minutes walk to the lake and across the bridge is the old town. The beds are really comfortable, the bathrooms are well stocked and there is a mini bar if thats your thing.

I have no complaints about the hotel but be warned - its expensive, 2 vodkas and mixer £35! but hay its a lovely hotel and overall I cant fault it, I didnt even mind the endless supply of mini chocolates

I stayed at Rotary Hotel for 4 nights. I travelled on business, but was on a budget, so I did review Geneva top hotels offerings. Rotary offered a very decent price for its quality.
The location can hardly be better. On the one hand it is in a short walking distance from both the train station (easiest way to get to the airport) and the river, on the other - is in a very quite surrounding. Upon arrival I got a free upgrade to a better, very spacious room, which was tastefully furnished in a "Old Good Europe" style. I also enjoyed tea/coffee-making facilities, daily free drinking water and free Wi-Fi connection in the room. The breakfast was very good and all staff was very friendly and professional. Live piano music in the lobby every evening was another nice touch to my experience.
