Stayed for 2 nights while on business. Though slightly out of reach from the city centre by foot, the hotel is located in a suburb of the Swiss capital. There's a very efficient tram system, and the stop is literally on the doorstep of the hotel. For a few CHF it takes you to the heart of the city in 7-8 minutes.

The rooms are fine, nothing flash but everything is practical and functional. I had excellent views from a quiet room on the 7th floor. The bed was very comfortable.

What I didn't like however was an outrageous charge for wi-fi (why price it so high?!) and the breakfast was mediocre at best.

We were on the 7th floor overlooking the city so superb views but, if you want the convenience of being 'in' the city, it's not for you. There's tram stop across the road though and it's a short journey into the centre. Very 'modern' room...perhaps too modern for friends sharing as the bath and sink are IN the room. The rack-rate is too expensive but we got a cheaper deal which was acceptable, being in mind that Switzerland is VERY expensive at present. The hotel has a Japenese restaurant - and there seem so to be a lot of Japenese coach parties staying just one night - which can be a bit noisy. If you want peace and quiet, ask for a top floor room.

On our way to Tuscany we thought it would be nice to hit the alps but beforehand stop off just outside for the night so we have the day to really see the mountains (especially the Grimselpass).

Anyways, our main concern was first, parking, second, decent room. We'd heard Bern was pretty bad for that and when we saw this hotel had free parking a decent rooms, SOLD!

So OK, we didn't come in with the biggest of expectations however we were pleasantly surprised. The room was quite nice, the shower, while strange in that it was kind of, in with the rest of the room (ie: no seperate bathroom) it was quite good. It had a seat construction and we quite enjoyed it.

The bed was also rather comfortable for myself (I enjoy a harder bed) though it was a tad too hard for my wife (she is a tiny thing)

We also had dinner in the Japanese restaurant in the hotel and it too was excellent.

So, we where very pleasantly surprised.

The room was ok, not very big but good although considering it's a 4 star hotel I would have expected it to be better, as it was not very handy the toilette.
My biggest complain was the gym, considering it was july it was terribly hot. The gym facilities (very small) were in the middle way from spa to gym, so you can imagine the temperature there. The service told me that there was no air conditioning system.
Service was nice and restaurant service good.
