Stayed for 1 night for a business trip.

The location was good as it was located close to the Main station. The room was small and too basic I mean "on the rock" basic . It was one of the Hottest weeks in Switzerland the Hotel did not have any Aircondition like most of the Hotels here. The windows were anti suicide style so you were only able to crack the window. I reside in a hot country and know what hot weather is like and this was like the point were I cracked.

Due to the lack of Aircondition the windows in the corridors were opened and then due to the design of the corridors with Neon lamps it was insect city!!!!!

So while I was working I started noticing insects crawling and then when I saw a FLYING ROACH that was it!!! Luckily I had a bottle of shaving cream to apprehend it.

I then went to reception to change my room but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked.
Mr. Hani at reception was working night shift and he was extremely helpful as he went upstairs to see the situation. He then provided me a can of insecticide and an additional fan. I had no option but to Nuke the corridor as it was filled with insects flying/crawling.

The room and corridor was smelling insecticide and had to keep the room door open for about an hour to ventilate it.

So the result for that evening of adventure was that I finally went to bed at 3:00 am and had to wake at 6:00 am for a meeting but ended up waking at 5:30 am in a pool of sweat.

Stayed here for one night for a business trip. The hotel is located just 5 mins from the main station in a 70ties-style concrete building. The room was quite small with a queen size bed, otherwise sparsely furnished and decorated. Bathroom was small, but functional with shower. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast buffet was good, but not luxurious.

For Bern, this place is of comparably good value, especially if you have or want to stay in the center. Good for business trips, but for a romance you better stay somewhere else. For people having an affinity to minimalism: This is the place!

Rooms are quite simple and small but the bed is comfortable. No noises from the street despite it is at a quite central location but you can hear the elevator when it is running late at night. 14'' TV. Expensive internet connection although you can use a computer at the lobby for free. Average breakfast without toasted bread.

I stayed one night here in December. The room was really small, but if you are not going to spend your time inside you can probably live with that. Some parts of the hotel were a bit worn, but in overall ok experience. The bathroom was very clean as well as the room, but since the room was so small some dirt easily goes around the room (from shoes) especially in winter. The breakfast was a bit limited, but adequate. The hotel was quite expensive if you consider the room, but I think in Switzerland you just have to live with that. The location is ideal if you arrive by train - just 5 minutes from the station.

The staff was really friendly. I did the reservation for two nights, but due some flight cancellations I arrived 24 hours late. I didn't have to pay for the first night even though in reservation conditions it was said that I wasn't entitled to refund. Very nice indeed!
