The location of the hotel is perfect, it's right by Parliament. The building is old, but recently renovated. Our room was huge comparing to standard European accommodations. It was sparkly clean, with huge windows overlooking not so busy street. Staff was pleasant and helpful. They gave us couple tips where to eat. The breakfast was very good, it consists of three varieties of meats and 3-4 cheeses, hard boiled eggs, sweets, toast, and a very good coffee. I definitely would consider this place for the next trip to Bern.

I stayed here for two nights on business. It's very well located, five minutes from the train station and close to all the main government buildings.

It's clean and comfortable, if not exactly charming (looks like the inside of pretty much any business hotel anywhere in Europe). It had free wifi, which I was pleased about.

The double room I had was very large and - despite overlooking the street - nice and quiet. It was the hottest day of the year, but the room was nice and cool. Good-sized bathroom had a shower but no bath.

Stayed here for three nights on business. A good location, very close to main station. Comfortable rooms, although for this particular (unusually hot) week, the lack of aircon in my particular room was not ideal.

Staff very polite and helpful. A good continental breakfast.

For visitors from outside Switzerland, difficult to be fair about judging cost and value for money, due to the ever increasing strength of the Swiss franc against other currencies. Probably not unreasonable for Bern.

I highly recommend this hotel. Convenient, central location, 5 minute walk to train station, great restaurants, shopping. Half a block from the Parliament Building and Swiss Bank HQ. Traveled alone, and stayed in a double room (recommend requesting the upgrade from the single--lots more room for not much more money). Comfortable bed, ice cold A/C, and very clean. The highlight of this location is the staff. Front desk staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Very nice continental breakfast, with a very attentive restaurant staff. Farmer's Market right across the street on Saturday and Tuesday while I was there. Nice fitness center available in sister property next door, with elliptical, stationary bikes, rowing machine, and weight training equipment. No complaints at all--would absolutely stay here again!
