My husband and I stayed at the Villa Nuba apartments for a week over
New Years recently. We had a great time. The apartment (Bonfigli)
was lovely, peaceful and comfortable. Our host, Giuseppe, was very
welcoming and helpful. He drove us to and from the train station,
gave us a very good orientation tour, and made sure that our visit
went well. We especially appreciated his restaurant recommendations,
which were wonderful. Near the apartment there is a supermarket and
an excellent bakery, as well as a bank and a bus stop (from here we
were able to take the "A" bus to the central bus station for day trips
to Gubbio and Assisi). We also walked frequently into the town center
and spent a lot of time exploring Perugia. Our thanks to Giuseppe and Villa Nuba for making our visit so enjoyable!

The Villa Nuba is a perfect place for a short or longer visits to Umbria. Situated in a quiet bucolic residential setting, it is graced with stunning views on the countryside. The well-equipped modern units are comfortable and thoughtfully decorated--those with several bedrooms have beautiful views from the apartments, but outdoor pool and patio allow all guests to enjoy them. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful in every way, and provide a "welcome" basket of wine, pasta, and breakfast treats on arrival. The location is ideal--whether one wants to stroll easily into Perugia (15 - 20 min) or take a frequent bus (stop 5 min away). Good restaurants and grocery shops are within walking distance. Parking is ample and the location is ideal for accessing the key highways to make day trips in the area (e.g., Orvieto, Gubbio, Urbino, Todi, San Sepolocro. And what a treat it is to return for a relaxing spell in the salt water swimming pool with views on the countryside--or a jacuzzi equipped bathroom. Hard to believe that the location is so quiet and yet convenient. Giuseppe and Elga Nuzzaci are delightful, thoughtful hosts and add much to one's stay with their suggestions, tips and friendly, but never invasive, courtesies. Worth coming back to every season.

Villa Nuba was perfect in every way. We spent three weeks at Villa Nuba through the last half of October and early November and also studied Italian for three weeks. The location was beautiful and apartment lovely and with the help of Guiseppe, including checking on our language school we had a memorable vacation. We rented a car, though walked to Perugia centro everyday but used our car to travel throughout Umbria during harvest. It was great having a place to park at the villa. It was a wonderful three weeks and we had all the comforts of home and then some.

In a perfect world, everyone gets to visit Umbria. And everyone should stay somewhere as nice as Villa Nuba. We rented Bonfigli for a week and it was terrific. The apartment was beautiful, immaculate, and quiet. The location is perfect, even without a car. We walked into the heart of Perugia (Fontana Maggiore) every day without any problems. Giuseppe is the perfect proprietor - friendly, helpful, and has a great sense of humor. If every vacation were this great, it would be perfect world.
