Hotel signa is a very nice hotel, but a bit difficult to find unless you get very good directions from the hotel itself. Using the train, one must take the little mini metro that runs from the station to the last station that is the closest to the hotel. You then must haul your luggage down a little street to some steps near a church, then down several blocks to the little somewhat steep alleyway where the hotel is located near an archway that leads out of the old city. There is a sign pointing to the hotel from the adjacent street. There are several little pizza restaurants and bakeries nearby, so it is easy to catch a bite if necessary. Breakfast is not included with the reservations at the hotel, but is offered for 7 euros in a nice looking little dining room. We chose to catch some croissants, coffee and juice at a local bakery on our way up to the main part of the old city. The old city is reached by climbing quite a way up some fairly steep walkways along the main streets, but the main part of the old city itself is mostly flat on top, although there are lots of little roads and walkways that lead down to lower levels, and some of these are also pretty steep. Great views of the city and surrounding countryside from places as you walk up to reach the top. The hotel room had a nice little balcony with a view of the Tuscan countryside, plus it had a very clean, nice bathroom with hairdryer, enclosed shower, bidet, toilet, sink, toiletries and very good lighting. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the hotel is extremely quiet plus very clean. There is also a flat screen TV, but no English channels when we were there. Enjoyed our stay, although it was quite short.

Dear Sir,
thank you for your stay in our hotel and for your nice feedback!!
I appreciate your suggestions about directions, minimetro, resteurants and rooms, they could be very useful for other guests!
Just a correction: Perugia is the main city of UMBRIA, so the view is of "the Umbrian countryside", not Tuscan!!
Hoping to meet you again,
kind regards
Mario Signa
