My friend and I loved staying at this hotel. Located in one of the quietest spots in Perugia, very close to the city medieval centre by car or by the hotel’s shuttle service, this is the idea lodging for a relaxed and pleasant visit to the city and Umbria.

From the hotel’s privileged location, we were able to visit other towns such like Assisi and Spoleto, and take daily pleasant country drives, always coming back to a warm reception by the owners and the staff.

The rooms are well appointed with beautiful views and the restaurant offers varied and well prepared dishes with that delicious taste of the Italian cuisine. We enjoyed every meal we had at the hotel as well as the cordial and accommodating service. We are planning to go back to Perugia and staying at the same hotel.

Great place, with a nice view. I really enjoy the quite and the food in the restaurant. The treatment is directly with the owners, and you feel a familiar place. Totaly recommended

We stayed in this hotel and had the best experience . Very welcoming and friendly athmosphere, the staff is profesional and ever so helpfull at all times.
Good breakfast with plenty of local fair. We found the restaurant very good food and best value for money. Rooms and bathrooms are very confortable and spotlesly clean. Shuttle service to etruscan, and to the airport!.

We visited three hotels in Italy on a 16 day trip to Perugia, Firenze and Rome. Hotel Ilgo was by far the best of nearly equally priced hotels. If you do not travel by car, you will have to take a taxi to the hotel from the train or bus station, and back when you leave. Apart from that, almost everything is taken care of by the extraordinarily friendly personnel. You are served cappuccino at breakfast, driven to town in the hotel maxi cab, and fetched back late in the afternoon or early evening. You can dine in the hotel restaurant in the evening after wine tasting at 7 PM. We found out that there is no reason to go out for dining; the menu was extensive and the food was delicious. Also vegetarian ones. Umbrian wines are second to none. We spend near to 100 nights a year in hotels, and this one goes to our shortlist of hotels we want to visit again.
