I've been in Gubbio for Saint Valentine Day and we have chosen this nice hotel.
We choose to stay on the upper floor to enjoy a nice view from our bedroom, but there is no lift as it is an historical building but we didn't mind
We had dinner in the hotel as well and I have to say that they cook really really well.

Recently renovated in a typical Middle Ages building, the hotel offers spanking new rooms with baths, spectacular views of the Umbrian countryside, all amenities, some baths with jacuzzi tubs, excellent attached restaurant. Very amiable staff, willing and helpful. Vin Santo and cantuccini offered on arrival (or whatever drink one's heart desires). Digitally controlled AC, beautiful hard wood floors, divine mattresses, linens. Very affordable.Only disadvantage: no elevator. Up 4 flights of stairs to our room (actually a suite with attached second bedroom with fireplace). The staff, of course, carried up (and down), our luggage.Gubbio is a jewel, and the Hotel Dei Consoli a real find. Stayed there last week, around $170 per night including buffet breakfast. Highly recommend. Loved our greeting manager, "Agnese"
