If you stay in the Bosone Palace, book enough in advance to ask for one of their two suites. They are extremely reasonably priced and very worth every single penny you pay for them. We asked for the suite with frescoes on both ceilings (there is a sitting room) based on a Frommer's review, and we got what we asked for. The suite was huge--the size was quadruple most hotel rooms in Italy. The ceilings were utterly gorgeous. The location is excellent; breakfast is served in a beautifully frescoed and paneled dining room; the service is wonderful. Our teenage daughters stayed in a much simpler room on the standard category which was small, but for the price it was still really worth it for this hotel's location and service. Breakfast is the standard Italian fare of crescents, breads, meats, yogurt, cereals, and fruit. Truly a wonderful hotel and location. Its partner hotel is the Relais Ducale. The Ducale is bigger with nicer public areas, but the suites at the Bosone are worth it to stay even one night there. The experience is unbelievable.
