Assisi is a lovely, peaceful place and this hotel translates perfectly the town's "vibe". Hermitage is located in a hill, with a gorgeous view of the surroundings and located halfway of both San Francesco and Santa Chiara basilicas, and very close to town's center. So, it's a very good location, indeed.
We stayed for only one night, so we went to the hotel with very few luggage. I would recommend that to everyone, as there are some stair steps to climb to reach the hotel - heavy luggage would be a pain. And, due to the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), I had to park my car outside of the town, so have that in mind before carrying a lot of stuff into the hotel.
Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Supposedly there was free internet on every room, but signal was too weak at my room - I had to go to reception to get some access. By the way, the hotel doesn't have service all night - after 11 pm you have to call a phone number.
The best thing about Hotel Hermitage is its comfort and the worst is the breakfast - very simple. There are some cafés not far from it, if you need some reinforcement. But I sure recommend this hotel and would go back when in Assisi (and I surely will go back there in the future).
Room Tip: Try and get a room with a view of the region
