“nice B&B,convenient for those travelling by car”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

This well-kept B&B is a good option for those driving and not longing to pay big amounts of money for car-parking in Siena. It's far from the town centre, though, so it wouldn't be a good option for public-transport travellers. The room was big and clean, but had a big drawback: There's no window, as this is a historical, protected building and they were not allowed to open a new window when they built the lower floor rooms, which are the newest. Warm welcome, nice, helpful staff, but reception is opened at very restrictive schedules. Breakfast just ok.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor rooms

“Nice and spacious rooms, warm hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

Located only 4 km from the heart of Siena, this family B&B offers spacious and very clean rooms, big bathroom, suficient breakfast and free parking lot. It's ideal for travellers by car, as I don't think that picking the bus (bus stop at 150m) will be perfect for curriyng luggages, or turning back at night. In this case it's better to find a hotel in the center of Siena.

Be carefull, as the check-in can be made from 10:00-12:30 and from 17:00-20:00.

The charming lady that owns the place, proposed us a tratoria "Fonte Giusta" (self-service) in Siena that was superb, offering fish dishes (risotti, pasta, calamari, fish filet etc), and for 5 dishes (no drinks) we payed 21,5E. Food was lovely and the ratio price/quality beyond any expectation.

We also had a dinner at Pizzeria di Nono Mede, on a terrasse that offers panoramic view of Siena. Food was excellent and you have to count 20-25E/pax including drinks and dessert. Beside this restaurant, another 2 or 3 seemed nice as well.

“Worth The Distance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

Beautiful room. Very clean with a spacious bathroom. Fridge was in the room which is handy. The staff was pleasant and helpful, however only of of the ladies spoke any English. It is a ways from downtown, too far to really walk. However, we drove there in 3 minutes and found plenty of parking. Siena is a walking city anyway. The breakfast was teh best we had of hte 4 places we stayed on this trip. Eggs, meats, cereal, pastries, juice, American style coffee, etc.

We would stay there again, no question

“Beautiful and relaxing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

This hotel is about a twenty minute bus ride from the city, but it's easy enough to figure out how to get there. Bus nine from the train station or from city, heading away from the city and just ask the bus driver where to get off.
Or a taxi is less than 15 euros. Totally worth the extra distance, because staying in the country was so beautiful and so relaxing. The views of rolling green hills, the terrace to relax on. The room was very nice, the girls were very helpful and recommended two lovely reasonably priced restaurants, one in walking distance. The breakfast was a very good range. Only downside is no Internet, but at least they tell you that from the start.

Overall, quiet beautiful place would definitely go back.

“nice place, great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2010

If you're visiting Siena, and need a base to tour area, this is a nice place to stay.
The best part is their great staff, that went out of their way to help us in any way they could to make the most of our trip (tips for restaurants, sights off the beaten path, etc.).

The rooms are basic, but nice and clean. the view from the window was amazing.

One tip: make sure you arrive in the morning (until 13:00), or after 16:00, as this family-run business doesn't handle check-ins around noon
