Stayed there for 3 nights in early December. It was an easy check in because we were there before 1pm. However, the owner, Elisa, seemed willing to make accomodations if we were going to arrive late. She was very accomodating to our 1 year old son and had a baby bed all setup for us to use. Breakfast was very adequate and the free capucinos were great! Elisa's staff were very friendly, and communicating in english was not a problem.
The bed's were much more comfortable than other Italian hotels we stayed in.
Free wifi was very helpful for us.
The bar across the street was loud at night (fri and sat but not Sun), but not loud enough where we couldn't get any sleep. Great location for everything in Siena. We would stay there again if we ever went back...

This was our first time to Siena and we must say that we were not only impressed by the beauty of Siena itself, but also by our fantastic stay at Antica Residenza Cicogna. Can only say positive things about it as we were extremely happy with the staff, location, cleanliness, room, and the very good breakfast with lots of Sienese delicacies. We just loved it, and will stay here again when we return to Siena.

We stayed in the rooms separate from the main entrance and it was great because we also had a spacious sitting room adjacent to our room, which although was to be shared with the other guest room we didn’t see anyone at all during our stay. This had a fridge, so we could have a glass of wine or cold soft drink at the end of each day. The B&B is located in the main town and within walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. We arrived by bus and left by train, and it a short walk to each of the bus stations [the bus takes you to the train station]. It was great having a computer next to the breakfast room where we could check our emails etc each day. Free Wi-Fi available. Excellent breakfast with a great range to get you started for the day. Again we went with the local recommendations of where to eat and had great meals!

My wife and I stayed at Antica Residenza Cicogna in Siena Sep 27-30, 2011. A delightful setting in a great location with a charming staff. Elysia manages the 7 room hotel in what is her grandparents former home. It is absolutely charming. She is extraordinarily helpful in arranging whatever you might need. The provided breakfast was more than ample and nicely presented. The location is just a short down hill walk to St Catherine's Sanitorium and Chapel and an easy walk of 300 meters to the Basillica and the Duomo as well as the famous El Campo square.
We stayed in one of the larger apartments which you enter separately from the hotel's main entrance. We recommend that as it is away from the noisy bar across the street from the front of the hotel; The bar noise usually stops around 11:00 PM however.
