“Great stay, great service, would return!”

Overall:
We stayed in one of the apartments. Room spacious, clean, GREAT service, parking on site. We would definitely stay here again - and if coming to Tuscany, very easy to use the apartment as a home base to visit several vineyards.

ROOM (Apartment):
Contained bedroom with double-bed (two twins pushed together), fully stocked kitchen, breakfast table, living room with pull out sofa, bathroom. Bath standard for Eurpoean - small, stall type of shower. Toilet and bidet present. PLUS: Bathroom mirror had extra light - good for makeup application. Kitchen - several different pots and pans provided. PLUS: There is a large grocery store "Coop" within 5 minute walk of hotel. Made it convenient to buy supplies for cooking. Ate in 1/2 the time we were here.

SERVICE:
We received truly amazing service. Wolfgang was very helpful and patient as we asked him tons of questions about the area and for recommendations.

LOCATION:
Right outside of town, you could drive down to one of the lots or walk 15 minutes into town. Hotel has free parking and is about a 8-10 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is on a hill, so about 5 minutes of the walk is up hill, but it's not too bad.

Would definitely return. Property was very nice and service was fantastic.

“A little piece of paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011 via mobile

Even though it's not that close to the city centre it was one of the best places we stayed in Italy. The staff were amazing, the rooms were clean an comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous!

“spectacular setting, classy staff.”

We rented a car and drove to Sienna, so the out-of-town location was no big deal. The resort is like renting a whole Italian village, many buildings, pool, gardens, views, flowerbeds. Also full facilities: laundry, great breakfast, wine cellar, patio areas. It is near a large Co-op store so you can pick up a supper package and some wine and avoid driving at night. It is 10 minutes to the big parkades near the Wall in Sienna so is easy to get into town. The staff is gracious and helpful, the grounds are well maintained. Our room was spotless, everything worked. it was a bit rustic but that's what we wanted, Italy--not Motel 6!!

Room Tip: get their phone number. It is hard to find with a GPS, read the signs near the Co-op to find it, it...

“Great place to stay in Siena, epecially if you have a car.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We loved our 3 nights at this quaint hotel. Very cozy room with antique furniture, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, with large assortment of foods to choose from. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It is a fair distance to walk to the heart of Siena, but if you have a car parking is alo a priority. We walked to town one say to eplore beautiful Siena, took a Tuscan tour our 2nd day, and drove the countryside the 3rd day. For dinners we took cabs to the excellent restaurants.

Definately reccomend taying here.

“lovely hotel”

My husband and I spent three nights at the Borgo Grondaie during our recent trip to Siena. The location was an easy walk to the historic area of Siena (brisk 20 min hilly walk --- sidewalks and good lighting). The staff was very professional and helpful. Breakfast buffet was ample --- coffee, tea, cereals, pastries, fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs, meat assortment. They have a small laundry room on property along with a swimming pool and outdoor dining areas. Lovely landscaping. Lobby has free wi-fi. Room and bathroom were clean. Bed was comfortable. Room had small refrigerator (and large grocery store "Coop" was five minute walk from the hotel). Although we didn't have a car, this hotel had a large parking lot. Would definitely stay at this property again.
