“Hotel Arcobaleno, Siena, Italy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Very nice, friendly, small hotel. I stayed here in early January. Very tempted to return in the warmer months and take more of the whole area in. Very friendly reception personnel at check in, and check out.

Rooms are not very big, and almost spartan, however there is a good feel to this hotel, and I would like to return for pleasure next time as the location is good, and the conservatories and outdoor seating on the terrace look very attractive.

Room Tip: rooms at the back of the hotel have anice view. Looking out of the window, Siena is to the right. Go...

“Best, even if not perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

I know the hotel very well, also because I used to work there for some time. It used to be, and probably still stays the best maintaied and friendly hotel in the Siena city. When I used to work there, Claudia (thenowadays manager), Cristiana and me were rated very high as employees. I know it is a pity that only Claudia remained, but I know she improved the management, keeping very high standards. I used to hear that the breakfast was very good, also with respect to the price. I know that some hotels used to have it very poor and over-expensive (so that people do not take it). Here, on the contrary, the staff is happy to serve you the breakfast and to see you enjoy it.
So, if you go to the city, take this hotel and you can definitely well enjoy the city.
Oh, the imperfection? It is a bit further from the walls, but actually, it is a very nice walk till downtown, if you do not mind walking for about half-an-hour more (or more, if you stop at the foregate, gate, walls, churches... or just walk slowly to enjoy.

Room Tip: Most of them are wonderful.

“You are welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

Arcobaleno is a small charming hotel. The personell is very forthcoming and always there for you to prepare a good Italian cappuccino, to recommend a good restaurant and to help with any requests you may have and thus make you feel home.

The rooms are comfortable and very clean and their style suits well to the local atmosphere.
You can have a very good breakfast with fresh croissants and pastries in a nice breakfast room.

The walking distance to the town center is about 15 to 20 minutes and you can also order a taxi that will take you there within less than 5 minutes.
I have stayed at the hotel many times during my business trips and I have always enjoyed it.

“Nice but outside of city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

Great staff the hotel is small rooms are very simple but clean with comfortable beds. If you are there for work it is a nice place to stay a night or 2.

Room Tip: Good rooms for a quick work trip. I would ask for a room away from the steps. I did not see an eleva...

“Very Good hotel for business and tourism a bit out of the center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

I join the Arcobaleno Hotel every week (at least 2 nights)during the last year for business. I found it very comfortable with a friendly and effective staff that do every time the best to be compliant with any requirements (from a suggestion on a restaurant to call a taxi or giving some useful suggestion to live Siena in full). The rooms are clean and well-furnished Claudia and Laura will take care of you with a lovely breakfast with some different " sweet thoughts" that you can taste on their wonderful balcony in front of the Sienna hills. The hotel position is pretty good, it is located in mid between the Sienna train station and the bus stop for Florence, the down town is not so far and you can reach some different and good restaurant at 5 minutes walking at max.

Room Tip: ask to stay in the main building.
