Short and sweet: There were too many problems to mention and explain. We had pre-paid 3 nights but it was so bad that we left on the 2nd day.
Of the 6 hotels that we stayed in during this trip to Italy, this was the only bad one. It ruined that segment of the trip. When we came back, I contacted Best Western International and they simply took a report but I received no apologies. They said they had to wait to see what the owner of the Siena's hotel had to say. A couple of weeks later, B.W. International forwarded to me an email from the hotel owner, sent to them, where he made stuff up about us, denied the bad service, the ruined Easter dinner, being over-charged, etc., etc. No apologies. Instead, this forwarded email contained a threat, stating that if I wrote a negative comment on Tripadvisor, I would face the Italian laws and possibly face jail! (I have the email). More surprising was the fact that this forwarded email containing lies and threats, contained one line from B.W. International, stating that I could call customer service should I have any other questions! I contacted B.W. International and told them that I was disappointed with the fact that I was forwarded that threatening email and that B.W. International had dismissed my complaint and had responded with a crazy email like that as if that was the end of the matter. Their response? A $75 Best Western gift card. I had paid $108 for the unused night and we won't even get into the fact that changing the plans while we were there costs us quite a bit of money. I will NEVER again go to a hotel that has such low ranking and bad reviews on Tripadvisor. All the other hotels in the other cities had great reviews and we had great stays.
