My wife, Daughter and I had the opportunity to spend a week in the Sangiovese unit at Borge Vignale, We got off to a rocky start as there wasn't enough hot water for more than one person to shower. Then the master bedroom flooded during our second night after a heavy rain. However, the local manager was very prompt in fixing both situations and the rest of the week was absolutely wonderful. We had spectacular views of the vineyards turning yellow for the fall. We happened to be the only tenant in Vignale that week which suited us just fine. It was secluded, quite, and totally relaxing. We found the interior rooms very functional and the kitchen was outstanding. There was everything in the kitchen one would need for almost any occasion. We found the road leading to our villa was not nearly as intimidating as some of the reviews we had read. If anything we tried to do too much during our stay. There are so many things to do and see within an hour of the villa that you could easily spend a week without becoming bored, especially if you like Chianti and like to eat. We were sad to leave and I hope that we can go back to this same spot again someday.
