“The Perfect Spot in Siena”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011 via mobile

The Villa Veronica was the first place we stayed at on our two week vacation in Italy. The owners Gabrielle and his wife, were super nice and very helpful. They didn't hesitate to answer every question that we had. Villa Veronica is also conveniently located close to the center of Siena. The breakfast spread was great, and the view from the backyard is even more amazing. Definitely ended up being one of our favorite places that we stayed at in all of Italy. I highly recommend both Siena and Villa Veronica. - Anthony, Chicago

“Don't stay here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2010

A group of friends stayed here in May of 2010. The staff was nice, but the manager and the owner made us feel uneasy, as we could not get together as group because they were always in the living room area watching TV. Now they had a little area for breakfast and the weather was cold and raining, but they would not let us use this area. So we had to set outside in the cold and rain to have all of us together. No food at night, but they chose to cook for some of the customers and let them use the breakfast area. We were even told that we could not use the livingroom area for our get togethers.

This is definately not a villa, it is a B and B and as long as you are two people traveling together it would be okay, but not a group of 10 friends...Stay Away from this property

You are hearing this from a travel agent in Missouri...Rosa Bahr

“Hotel manager made stay memorable. Great base for exploring Siena region.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2009

The rooms/building itself is nothing spectacular, however importantly room was clean and in a top location. Our room was at the top of the stairs and was quiet with a quaint little balcony over the olive tree. Bathroom was very small (your knees hit the shower screen when sitting on toilet) but excellent water pressure in the shower!

The breakfast room has a terrific aspect over the swimming pool (we didnt use it as it was winter) and over the rolling hills of Tuscany. Locations wasvery handy to Siena and other medieval towns (San Gimignano, Volterra and Monteriggione). Villa Veronica is excellent for those who dont intend to stay in the hotel room all day and just need a base to stay while travelling around the region. Entering the address was a bit confusing for our GPS, so definitely note the GPS coordinates to locate the B&B.

On arrival, we asked for a recommendation of somewhere local and homely to eat so the hotel manager directed us to Nonna Luisa's - a meal which we rate as the best meal of our Europe trip! Make sure you try the tagliatelle ragu, cooked with love! The hotel manager also mapped out a sightseeing plan for us in the 1.5 days we had to see the area. The breakfast provided was not particularly memorable but had enough selection to satisfy.

The Siena region is a must see in Tuscany, do not miss it and the hotel manager at Villa Veronica made the stay all the more memorable.

“Wonderful, wanted more from staff.”

Villa Veronica was wonderful. We drove to Sienna after Ravenna and intended to stop for the night in Bologna. When that didn't work out we called Villa Veronica and they were able to house us for an extra night. The rooms are simple with large closet chests, bathrooms were nice with small corner showers. The staff was alright. There were plenty of pamphlets available at the B and B but we wanted more local opinion from the staff which they didn't readily share. But with directions they were helpful.

It was very clean and the breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast, crossiants, breads, jams, nutella, and there was someone to make you fresh cappuchino, caffe latte, etc.

It was a good stay all in all.
