We stayed in the Daiana apartment for 3 nights and I totally agree with everything said in the review before this one. The apartment was poorly equipped (not even a wine glass!) and the air conditioning was next to useless as it only just worked in the bedroom area. During September after a busy day and climbing all the steps to this apartment you needed a cool area to return to and when you walked into this apartment it was actually hotter than outdoors. The windows were very small so hardly any breeze either. The best thing about these apartments is the location which is right in the main drag of San Gim so you cant do better than that. We found the walk down to breakfast every morning tedious so we just bought in from the bakery opposite the apartments. Just to reiterate you do not check in at the apartment itself so ring first for directions where to check in. There are three parking areas available just outside the town walls for about Euro 15 per day.

stayed 2 nights in the top 'apartment' (Daiana) on the main street ;wonderful view from the kitchen / shower room . Kitchen was completely non-functioning ( no utensils - not even a cup !) but a comfortable bed , air-con , clean , very well-situated - so would definitely stay again.

The views from the apartment are great. Kitchen is really handy. Right on main strip but you wouldn't know it as it is quiet. Only downside is that air con is not strong enough and kitchen was boiling. Need a fan in here. They should include breakfast at the price seeing they also run the bakery. But that's San Gimignano for you.

We loved this apartment and wished we had stayed a day longer. The back view was absolutely breathtaking. Our one bedroom apt was spacious and immaculate. There were a lot of stairs to climb, but it was worth it. Check in is at a different site. Great location near the entrance to the town. Wow - what a great town!!
