After traveling to Italy, we chose Pisa to stop for 3 nights to allow us to adjust to the time change before heading to Cinque Terre. Hotel Novecento fit the bill. It is close to the center of town but away from the action. Just a short walk to the Leaning Tower- allowing us to get out and see the sights, then return and relax in a peaceful environment.
The staff was delightful and there to help if we had any questions. We speak no Italian and their English is limited, but it was not a problem; just our loss!
The room was small and very clean. The first night the air conditioner was not working well , but kicked in on day two- improving our outlook on everything about the hotel. Coming from a 45 deg 'summer' we were in shock on arrival in Italy.
Breakfast buffet was a good start to the morning- several expresso shops on the way to town to recharge.
