Visited this hotel as part of a three day tour of Pisa, Hotel very well situated excellent for train journeys and buses to other parts and attractions. plenty of nearby restaurants special praise for the chinese on the main road excellent food and value great service. On arrival allocated room 105 a lift up one floor. Small but working lift, didnt ever see bar open or staffed. Arrived in main corridor, spotlessy clean and well loooked after. Room was dated decor wise, but never the less clean and well cared for. Fridge containing mini bar we didnt use but nice if wanted to make use of this facility. Beware though fridge very noisy we unplugged every evening . Beds comfy and clean white crisp linen, with spare pillows and blankets if needed, shame no tea and coffee making faciities ( be guided take a travel kettle so you can do your own as coffee is as expensive as beer or wine. Not a cheap place to visit when the euro exchange rate is so poor. Towels are replaced daily and are white and freshly laundered. But are not like white tufted fluffy towels, they are like a thin linen, so dont dry a lot. Pisa itself is well worth a visit , with florence an hours journey away on the train and 9 euros return fare cheap too , for exploring two beautiful places.
Overall the hotel is good for location, cleanliness and cost. However, the only down side is the breakfast, not at all good. All food is packeted, biscuits sandwiches cakes, fruit puree, tin peaches very little selection in cereals. no fresh cheese, or ham, no cooked choices not even a boiled egg. or toast machine. . The only thing that was fresh was apples a bread roll and croisants. Evertything else is left out all day every day as its in packets or cartons. Have to say worst breakfast i have experienced, Normally you would find fresh fruit, bread, cakes jams marmalades, eggs, tomatoes. It really needs improving as it really lets the hotel down which is so sad as the room, cleanliness and location is so promising for a stay in Pisa. Hotel is also very good at storing your luggage in reception area unti your flight home at no charge. Airport 5 mins journey away on train or bus at 1 euro 10 cents. No english channels on TV apart from MTV.
