Villa Romantica is a cozy family run B&B. The rooms are well decorated and cozy. The toilets are nice. Like in most B&Bs they have a nice reading room, and free internet. The room is not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for including a decent breakfast. The house is a ten minute walk to the ancient city so a perfect base to do sightseeing from.

Superbly located within minutes of an entrance to the walled city of Lucca, the Villa Romantica came highly recommended to us. We are pleased to report that nothing about this family operated B&B was over-rated. It is exceptionally well cared for; it is quiet; the bathroom and shower are impeccable; the breakfasts are opulent; and the proprietors and staff are exceptionally attentive. What more can we say? Fabulous quality at economy rates. One of the highlights of our trip. We'll be returning.

Villa Romantica is a family run small hotel and an excellent value. Hotel is a short walk to the old city walls. Our room was large, comfortable, impeccably clean and charmingly decorated. We loved staying here. Everyone was helpful and kind. Breakfast was included.
If we return to Lucca we will stay here again.

I concur with all of the other reviews

This is definitely a bed and breakfast although they are trying very hard to make it feel more like a hotel.

It’s a lovely couple who run the place who couldn’t do more for us.

Yes it’s outside the walls but in reality a 5 minute walk and a 10 minute walk to the centre of Lucca. It has the advantage of being in a quiet residential area.

Breakfast was great as previously described.

Room was quite expensive for what it was but it was very large and spotlessly clean. Lucca is expensive generally anyway.

Did borrow the bikes which were great.
