There are several points to make about this campeggio.
1. It was quite a lot more expensive than the others we stayed at. Mostly we paid abut 52-55 euro for our party of 6 in a motorhome, whereas here we paid 72. It seemed a bit high.
2. Their pool is only open until 1900, the earliest pool to close of any we stayed at. Whose kids don't want to keep swimming in the summer until 2100? Come on! They also require a swim cap, an annoyance and more expense to buy them.
3. They have a small little store, nothing to write home about, but had good cappucino in the morning and a small patio resturant in the evening around the pool (maybe that's why the pool closed, but it was not needed to be closed).
4. Bathrooms always smelled bad.....and never any toilet paper, and hot water was not hot.
5. view of Florence is nice, but you are REALLY up on a hill. They don't come and get you with the shuttle in the evening so you have to walk back from the little town of Feasole, which took up about 1/2 hour with no mistakes (my husband walked back the night before with several wrong turns).
6. Bus to town not too inconvenient, but does take another 20 minutes once the campeggio shuttle gets you to the stop. I think if I were going to stay in Florence area again I would just choose the closer Michelangelo camping - which is reputed to be more crowded and noisy. But you CAN walk to it from the Florence Duomo, whereas this camping you can't.
6. Drving the motorhome up the winding and more-and-more narrowing roads through Fiesole was a bit nervewracking for our average size motorhome. And to drive back to the A1 Autostrada took us yet another 1/2 hour of messing around on the little streets.
7. Staff was nice enough, pool was nice when it was open.
