“not worth the price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 May 2008

We just stayed there for one night, and I have to say:
only one or two sites had that "panoramico" view. Sites were very small, pool should have been nice when opened but may was too early.
Bathrooms were nice and clean, staff friendly.
But the price from 38.00 for 2 adults and a Ford nugget was absolutely too high for what you got.

“Farther from Florence than the Michelangelo camping”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2006

There are several points to make about this campeggio.
1. It was quite a lot more expensive than the others we stayed at. Mostly we paid abut 52-55 euro for our party of 6 in a motorhome, whereas here we paid 72. It seemed a bit high.
2. Their pool is only open until 1900, the earliest pool to close of any we stayed at. Whose kids don't want to keep swimming in the summer until 2100? Come on! They also require a swim cap, an annoyance and more expense to buy them.
3. They have a small little store, nothing to write home about, but had good cappucino in the morning and a small patio resturant in the evening around the pool (maybe that's why the pool closed, but it was not needed to be closed).
4. Bathrooms always smelled bad.....and never any toilet paper, and hot water was not hot.
5. view of Florence is nice, but you are REALLY up on a hill. They don't come and get you with the shuttle in the evening so you have to walk back from the little town of Feasole, which took up about 1/2 hour with no mistakes (my husband walked back the night before with several wrong turns).
6. Bus to town not too inconvenient, but does take another 20 minutes once the campeggio shuttle gets you to the stop. I think if I were going to stay in Florence area again I would just choose the closer Michelangelo camping - which is reputed to be more crowded and noisy. But you CAN walk to it from the Florence Duomo, whereas this camping you can't.
6. Drving the motorhome up the winding and more-and-more narrowing roads through Fiesole was a bit nervewracking for our average size motorhome. And to drive back to the A1 Autostrada took us yet another 1/2 hour of messing around on the little streets.
7. Staff was nice enough, pool was nice when it was open.

  • Liked — pool was good, when open
  • Disliked — bathrooms smell, high cost, early pool closure

“Very nice camping, gorgeous view”

We stayed in this camping last year, when we visited Florence. The only bad thing about it was, that the reception closed at 11 p.m., so we had to go 190 km / h to reach it in time, after we stuck 4 hours on the motorway near Venice.

We stayed in a wooden bungalow with 2 rooms, bathroom and minikitchen. It was 90% clean (the towels were dirty). The bungalow had a safe inside and own alarm system. The camping is situadted in a forrest, and at mornings when we woke up u could hear the birds singing right at your window.

The pool was great, and so was the terrace where u could grab a bite, you could see the whole city of Florence from the pool and terrace. The camping is situated on a hill and it is 7 km away from the cityt centre. To get to the city we took a bus (u can find tickets right at the camping's reception, 2way ticket costs 1 euro) that left us at the Dome, that is city centre.

The staff was very nice, I would defenitly go back there again!
